**hanging leg raises are so difficult!! (that means they’re really strengthening the abdominal wall!) They could be difficult to master at first but don’t be embarrassed to try them! Every ab pro has done these for the first time at one point in their lives! Theres a first time for everything! Remember to put your upper arms through the ab straps for safety! good luck!**

Quick&Easy Anti-Acne Natural Remedy

To help avoid getting acne from being in the dirty and sweaty gym during the summer, I found a really helpful and easy remedy to keep my skin clean and clear (:

After the shower (when your skin is clean and pores are open) squeeze lemon juice all over your face and then rinse with really cold water!!

The citrus kills the bacteria in your skin and the cold water closes your pores so no new bacteria can get into your newly cleaned out face! Be sure to complete your skin clearing treatment with a layer of moisturizer! Its best to avoid doing this treatment more than 3 times a week because it could actually dry out your skin in the summer heat!

This whole process DOES WONDERS and only takes 30 sec to do (and 1 min to clean up/prep: cutting a lemon in half). Its vegan, organic, fresh, not too expensive, free of chemicals, and completely natural! Also, you can do it anywhere on your body!

I do these only in HIIT because my knees are especially prone to injury. one of my HIIT routines that include these are: 30 sec jumping jacks, 10 box jumps, 30 sphynxs holding a plank on the box, 30 sec lateral jumps, rest, repeat and/or adjust to make more difficult.  
(these are super hard and people get hurt all the time.. notice how low of a box I am using. remember that safety is important! having an injury could seriously get in the way of your goals.. )

  • hand towel (most gyms offer them)
  • water bottle 
  • lifting gloves (if weight lifting & calluses bother you)
  • ipod& headphones!!

and thats it! its important to pack light - you really don’t need all the extra gadgets, throw them in a locker! distractions could keep you from getting the most out of your workout!
